Our sustainability

PM-Mendes has successfully gained certification by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). This certification provides assurances that all the timber sourced for the manufacturing process of our forever growing range of FSC® and PEFC certified products, is from legal and traceable sources that support sustainable forestry.

Chain of Custody (CoC) certification is the process by which certified material can be traced from the forest to the consumer. It provides proof that the product being sold is linked to legally managed and certified products. This unbroken chain offers transparent proof that materials have been sourced responsibly from various controlled sources. We currently hold FSC® and PEFC certified products in stock and as the demand for FSC® and PEFC certified products increase, so too will our stock holding. We are continuously working towards increasing and introducing new certified product ranges.

We have also taken the necessary steps to ensure we comply with the European Timber Regulation (EUTR) which means that all timber based products used in the manufacturing process of our products is legally sourced. In addition PM-Mendes has invested in facilities to segregate and re-cycle our waste and endeavour to purchase so called green options wherever possible. Our customers can be assured that any product purchased from us has made minimal contribution to the problem of global warming.
