The Thermawood Grey Primed Rutland External Door is a high-performance, thermally rated external door that blends traditional styling with advanced insulated construction. Featuring two vertically proportioned clear glazed panels above raised lower panels, the Rutland delivers classic kerb appeal while meeting modern energy efficiency standards.

Supplied grey primed (RAL 7038) as standard, this door is ready for final decoration, making it ideal for both renovation and new-build projects.

Excellent Thermal Performance

The Thermawood Rutland is engineered to provide strong insulation and structural stability. Achieving impressive U-values of approximately 1.32 – 1.36 W/m²K, this door helps reduce heat loss and improve overall energy efficiency.

Its multi-layer construction includes:

  • XPS insulated core

  • Structural LVL core with Meranti lipping

  • Integrated 0.2mm aluminium sheet reinforcement for added strength

  • 3.6mm plywood outer layers

  • 45mm overall door thickness

This unique build makes the Rutland significantly more robust and weather-resistant than a traditional timber stile and rail external door.

High-Performance Glazing

The Rutland features two clear glazed units designed to maximise natural light while maintaining insulation performance. The glazing specification includes:

  • Clear toughened safety glass

  • Low-E coating with Argon gas filling for improved thermal efficiency

  • Installed using glazing tape and sealant system for durability

This ensures excellent performance in exposed external environments.
